Field Service Technician - UPS / ATS / Generators / Mission Critical equipment
Candidate should be familiar with testing and maintenance of mission critical / critical infrastructure equipment including Switchgear, Electrical equipment, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs), DC plants, Power Distribution Units (PDU), Battery Cabinets and other critical equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on generators, ATSs, UPSs, CRACs, DC plants, and other critical equipment.
- Conduct onsite Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for equipment.
- Coordinate equipment delivery and onsite activities, leveraging project management experience.
- Review electrical plans and develop solutions for potential risks.
- Collaborate with multiple departments using strong interpersonal skills.
- Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Travel as needed with a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; 3+ years of Integrated Systems Testing (IST) experience.
- Solid experience in project management and related testing procedures.
- Ability to conduct onsite IST for electrical gear.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate equipment delivery and onsite activities.
- Competence in reviewing electrical plans and creating solutions for potential risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with various departments.
- Must pass a criminal background, DMV, and credit check.
- Possess a valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
- Purchase order management and vendor management experience.
