Position SummaryThe Director of Finance oversees daily Finance and Accounting operations for C&H Industrial Services, ensuring alignment with Corporate financial policies. This role leads internal controls, financial forecasting, audit coordination, and strategic planning. The Director of Finance provides accurate financial reporting, enhances operational efficiency, mentors staff, and supports leadership with financial insights that drive long-term planning and organizational growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Lead and mentor Finance/Accounting staff, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Maintain Finance/Accounting policies and document control processes.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support payroll reconciliation and cross-functional compliance with HR.
- Direct daily Finance/Accounting operations, including CAPEX classification and audit coordination.
- Provide job cost analysis and collaborate with Project Managers to support operational decision-making.
- Analyze A/R billing quality, cadence, and collection trends to support cash flow.
- Validate monthly inventory reconciliations and maintain the 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Prepare and review financial statements, month-end close materials, and reporting packages.
- Assist with system implementation, testing, and training for Finance/Accounting users.
- Stay current on industry and accounting best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of construction job costing experience required.
- Experience scaling a construction-based business from < $20M to $50M+ revenue.
- CPA/CMA pursuit preferred.
- 5–7+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong GAAP knowledge; experience in reporting, internal controls, and audits.
- Proficiency with Net Suite or other ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Valid driver’s license (MVR verification required).
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate across all levels.
- Ability to use computers, phones, and office equipment with repetitive motions.
- Clear vision, hearing, and communication abilities.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
