About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee and execute designated projects within our Field Services department. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, resource management, and consistent communication with both internal teams and clients. You’ll ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the successful execution of assigned projects, aligning tasks with goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Generate RFIs, estimates, and change orders as needed.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand the energy services competitive landscape.
- Develop and manage project and technician schedules for efficient resource allocation.
- Provide leadership and support to the Field Service team, ensuring clear coordination among team members.
- Optimize utilization of equipment and personnel while monitoring budget performance.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates and ensuring deliverable satisfaction.
- Conduct post-project follow-up to address remaining needs and ensure a positive client experience.
- Attend departmental meetings and provide project updates.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technologies in the energy services sector.
- Conduct regular employee reviews and support professional development.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Oversee staff hiring, work assignments, performance reviews, and HR recommendations.
- Manage teams through subordinate supervisors and lead technicians.
- Approve technician time charges, monitor overtime usage, and manage time‑off requests.
- Ensure all technician training and certifications remain current.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, industrial, or facilities project management.
- Proven experience in operations or project management.
- PMP certification preferred (not required).
- NETA Level 3 or 4 certification preferred.
- Working understanding of electrical systems, construction, estimating, testing equipment, and NETA procedures.
- Familiarity with NFPA, ANSI, and IEEE standards.
- Strong project management, analytical, and performance metric skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to multitask.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore or as required by clients).
- Proficient with Google GSuite & Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass background screenings and drug testing.
- Willingness to travel domestically (under 20%).
- Must be eligible to operate a motor vehicle legally.
The role involves a mix of office work and field site visits requiring PPE. Candidates must be able to handle standard leadership pressures, deadlines, and multi‑project management.
Physical Requirements- Extended periods of sitting, phone/email communication, and computer work.
- Regular mental and visual attention.
- Occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. during field visits.
- Ability to travel and work on‑site as needed.
