What We Need
The Sr R&D Lab Technician is an entry-level contributor that works to provide a variety of support such as performing lab and quality control tests as well as inspecting product samples. This role will be responsible for executing experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and collaborating with the R&D team to achieve project objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Perform a variety of established lab tests, including performs quality control tests of raw materials, stains, and stain mixes.
- Inspect product samples to ensure quality standards are met.
- Lead control tests.
- Document inspection results.
- Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
- Drive a lift truck to receive and transfer raw materials.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Ensure proper working conditions of equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Keep area safe, clean, and organized.
- Lead and/or train R&D Lab Technicians.
- Performs other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to set up, run and/or interpret results from a wide variety of laboratory test equipment.
- Applies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
