UTILITY III – D Shift IVC (Dalton, GA)

Mohawk Industries is hiring for a Utility III position in its Dalton, Georgia facility (zip code 30721). Join our team to operate and maintain precision equipment on a D‑shift schedule.

• Operate winders, unwinders, belt press, calendar, lacquer, and stacking equipment.
• Change over rolls and cores and splice new rolls into existing ones, ensuring perfect splices every time.
• Activate roll transfer from AGV to machine, monitor roll or slab transfer from machine to AGV, and send completed cores to the cut station.
• Enter data into the ME and SAP systems and call for correct wear layers and film rolls as per production schedule.
• Inspect and monitor quality of processed material, communicate issues, and follow quality management system policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and efficient workstation, perform preventative maintenance and cleaning, and assist with line changeovers.
• Operate lift truck, overhead crane, and hoist, including inspections and reporting of issues.
• Support job rotation and relieve other team members as needed.
• Use hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach, balance, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

• Flexible for all shifts.
• Computer‑efficient; ability to use basic software and recordkeeping systems.
• Experience in quality management is desired.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Basic knowledge of the manufacturing environment and understanding of safety procedures.

• Stand for long periods of time; walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk; and hear.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Require color vision, near and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment may expose employees to weather conditions prevalent at the time; noise level is usually minimal.
