The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) maximizes sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests, determining individual needs, and assisting guests in selecting and purchasing prestige merchandise while following all company policies and procedures. The PBA maintains store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment, and supports the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process focus.

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), retail shrink, omni‑channel sales, specific to the prestige category and iconic brands.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, recommending complementary products and services, and informing guests of current promotions and events.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest service.
• Book and support appointments for services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while achieving sales goals.
• Stay informed of industry trends, products, and services and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, including prestige and iconic brand product training and brand education, to enable continuous professional development and drive sales performance.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping prestige and iconic brand work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are available and hygienically maintained.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area; ensure makeover stations meet company standards.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing using Ulta Beauty technology.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license where required by state law.

• One year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Passion and competency for prestige product, guest service, and selling.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.

• Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend corporate business meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.

• Frequent mobility throughout the store.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
• Continuous lifting or moving up to 10 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
