General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Generate timely financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions; monitor aging schedules and cash receipts.
• Assist with payroll support, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve internal controls.
• Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries during external and internal audits.
• Implement process improvements to enhance accounting workflows and reporting accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close processes, and reconciliation procedures.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to interact with stakeholders across departments.

• CPA, CMA, or other relevant accounting certification preferred.
• Experience with ERP implementations, process automation tools, or financial consolidation software is a plus.
• Familiarity with tax filings, regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks.
