Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting function and strengthen financial reporting, controls, and operational accounting processes. The ideal candidate will oversee month‑end close, financial statement preparation, accounting policy, and the development of scalable processes to support the company’s growth. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, proven leadership of accounting teams, and the ability to partner with finance and operational stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate financial information.

• Lead the month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP; coordinate financial reporting deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the maintenance and documentation of accounting policies, account mappings, and process narratives to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Manage the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting, including SOX readiness and testing where applicable.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger functions; streamline workflows and implement process improvements and automation.
• Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors; prepare audit schedules, respond to inquiries, and manage remediation of audit findings.
• Develop and coach a high‑performing accounting team through hiring, performance management, mentoring, and professional development plans.
• Collaborate with FP&A, tax, legal, and business unit leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, tax provision, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems and ERP integrations; partner with IT on implementations, upgrades, and system controls.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly accounting metrics, key performance indicators, and commentary to senior leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility, including prior management of an accounting team in a corporate environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP; experience with revenue recognition, lease accounting, and technical disclosures.
• Demonstrated experience managing external audits and internal control programs (SOX experience preferred).
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting automation and reconciliation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills, including team development, cross‑functional collaboration, and project management.

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification strongly preferred.
• Experience in a public company or regulated industry, or with multi‑entity consolidations and international accounting considerations.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools, business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and process automation technologies.
