Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia (remote/online work mode possible)
Employment: Full-Time, Morning Shift, Experienced (Non-Managerial)
Role summary: We are seeking an organized Accounts Officer to manage day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, and ensure accurate financial records for inventory, supplier accounts, and distribution transactions. The role reports to the Finance Manager and coordinates with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams.
Key responsibilities- Maintain accurate general ledger entries, journals, and reconciliations for payables, receivables, and inventory-related accounts
- Process supplier invoices, verify purchase orders and receiving documents, and ensure timely vendor payments
- Prepare customer invoices, record receipts, reconcile customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances
- Support month-end and year-end closing tasks, including accruals, prepaid adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations where applicable
- Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash transactions and cashbook entries
- Assist with inventory accounting and stock valuation adjustments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional diploma; or equivalent practical accounting experience (min 2 years)
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience in a trading or distribution environment
- Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger and accounts payable/receivable processes
- Experience with monthly closing, bank reconciliation and petty cash handling
- Familiarity with inventory accounting and stock valuation methods relevant to trading/distribution
- Proficiency with accounting software; ERP or Tally/Quick Books/SAP experience is an advantage
- Basic Excel skills: formulas, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, and pivot tables
- Strong numeric accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prepare reconciliations and financial summaries
- Good communication skills for coordinating with vendors, customers and internal teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting processes in a small team
