Cost control engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop appropriate control budgets consistent with project estimate.
• Ensure that the Client Invoice captures the actual quantities.
• Coordinate or develop appropriate internal and external benchmarking and technical limits.
• Ensure that the Cost Control Section submits internal reports as per scheme.
• Prepare the Enterprise Periodical Report for Sub-Contractor Cost Variance.
• Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
• Prepare the Report Project Cost Variance (Resource Variance, Project Cost Report, Physical Invoice and Productivity Variance).
• Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
• Collect & check daily reports from Site Engineer, Foreman, Timekeeper and Storekeeper regarding manpower, materials and machinery.
• Enumerating, Monitoring and Recording All Lessons Learned of the Project per Scope of Works.
• All types of job must follow the HSE rules to ensure their safety during their work as per the attached general rules.
• Performs other related duties as may be required by Direct Manager and Senior Cost Control Engineer.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or Any Related Field. Technical Office Concerns and Cost Control Techniques. Administration Background.
• Related work experience in office work, documentation and cost control.
• Knowledge in the use of MS Project, Primavera Scheduling and SAP software is highly advantageous. MS Office computer applications especially Word and Excel.
• Similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling, preferably in Construction/Contracting Industry.
