Site Mechanical Engineer

Site Mechanical Engineer - Saudi Arabia - Dammam

We are currently searching for a Site Mechanical Engineer to join our site team in Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The correct candidate must have over 10 years’ experience of working as a Mechanical Engineer ideally with an Engineering Consultancy or a Contractor.

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters Degree in Engineering (MEng)
• Membership of a recognised professional body (CIBSE, IMechE or ASHRAE)

• Typically 10+ year’s relevant industry experience of a technical role, within either a contractor or engineering consultancy.
• Proven track record of project design through concept to detailed design.
• Ability to review and make small amendments on AutoCAD.
• Applicant will require high levels of patience when dealing with the many stakeholders.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in general mechanical design software’s such as Hevacomp, HAP.
• The applicant will need to have strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• A team player able to provide leadership to colleagues in other disciplines.

• Experience of working on multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Experience of working on high‑rise, multimedia spaces, high specification interiors.
• Experience in the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience of both design and construction.
• Revit capability.

• Liaise with SAPMT and Buro Happold discipline leads to assist with the planning, coordination and execution of building services works.
• Review the contractor’s submissions including method statements, procurement plans, technical submissions, specifications, schedules, technical queries, shop drawings, specialist designs, fabrication drawings, and technical studies.
• Assist SAPMT to monitor Contractor & Specialist Sub‑Contractor progress.
• Provide support to SAPMT and site engineering inspectors to ensure technical compliance with the approved contract specifications, working practices, and drawings.
