The AAM UAS Deployment Specialist will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of infrastructure and operations needed for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) roll-out, including drone and eVTOL flight-test campaigns, vertiport readiness, and stakeholder engagement. Working directly under the Accountable Manager, this role is responsible for aligning all engineering, logistics, and regulatory streams to ensure the operational success of UAS-specific operations under GACAR 107 and wider AAM initiatives.
- Lead the infrastructure roll-out for UAS and AAM operations, including vertiport site development, control centers, and operational staging areas.
- Act as the project integration point across engineering, customs, regulatory, and operational teams for drone and eVTOL deployments.
- Coordinate customs clearance and logistics for importation of airframes, test equipment, and support systems in collaboration with regulatory and logistics partners
- Engage with GACA and government agencies to secure site approvals, flight authorizations, and other necessary clearances for drone/eVTOL campaigns.
- Develop and manage project plans, risk registers, cost schedules, and compliance matrices for infrastructure and operational readiness.
- Drive technical documentation, including site design specs, safety assessments, environmental impact forms, and stakeholder reports.
- Support the Accountable Manager in organizational build-up, liaising with technology providers, contractors, and aviation authorities
- Monitor execution and handover milestones, ensuring timely project delivery aligned with operational and regulatory goals
- Lead interdisciplinary coordination across civil engineering, UAS software/network systems, and aviation operations teams
Education: Master Civil Engineering
Knowledge and
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, AAM, or aviation projects
Demonstrated delivery of vertiport / eVTOL / drone infrastructure projects
Experience in flight-test campaign coordination and operational site readiness
Strong understanding of customs processes, aviation equipment importation, and ground handling
Proven background in stakeholder and government engagement, including GACA, OEMs, and municipalities
Familiarity with GACAR Part 107, vertiport guidelines, and emerging AAM regulatory standards
License and Certificates:
Vertiport Planning and Design Training (EASA or ICAO-aligned – preferred)
