To assist the Lead Estimator in evaluating and reporting on project cost estimates, tendering, and bidding activities ensuring all activities are in alignment with the overall Estimation strategy to achieve successful and profitable project outcomes across the organization.

Key Accountabilities
  • Follow all relevant departmental processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Demonstrate compliance with the organization's values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.
  • Research and analyze current prices of construction material, equipment, labour rates, and relevant costs in Saudi Arabia to create a database of competitive rates for various project components.
  • Implement comprehensive quantity take-off and review direct cost estimates to contribute toward the completeness of overall project cost, supporting detailed cost estimation and preparation.
  • Study the project scope of work, client's requirements, BOQ, project milestones and specifications from supplied bid documents.
  • Provide support to the Lead Estimator by conducting Quantity Surveying (QS) activities to contribute to the creation of detailed cost estimates and error free estimation packages, to support successful project bids.
  • Collate information to create quotations consolidating information on sources and brand specifications, to support informed decision making and uphold reliability.
  • Prepare the bid submission, ensuring all supplemental information is included, accurate, and delivered on time, facilitating coordination with Business Development, Project Controls, and Construction teams.
  • Create the bid preparation schedule ensuring all technical and commercial deliverables are included for processing, upholding accuracy and ensuring completeness.
  • Examine accepted tenders to evaluate their alignment with project requirements to assist in informed decision making throughout the project.
  • Compile and distribute bidding documentation including drawings, specifications, ITBs, Q&A, and quotations to support a streamlined bidding process and effective cost estimates.
  • Analyze and prepare equipment, material, and manpower breakdowns, ensuring all items impacting bid price are recorded, in support of the construction schedule.
  • Check all addendums and client communications, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed and clarified to facilitate an accurate bid.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Management

Technical Essential Education/Certification
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, or any other related field.
Experience
  • 0 - 4 years' related experience in roles within similar positions.

Technical Preferred Education/Certification
  • Master's in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or any other related field.
