QC Mechanical Inspector - API

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QC Mechanical Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality of mechanical installation, fabrication, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, verifying compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.

• Perform inspection of mechanical installations, fabrication, and maintenance activities.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Conduct inspections for piping, structural components, static equipment, and rotating equipment.
• Review material certificates, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional tests.
• Ensure welding, assembly, alignment, and installation activities meet quality requirements.
• Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and quality records.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Participate in audits, quality meetings, and project inspections.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Valid API Certification is mandatory (API 510, API 570, or API 653, as applicable).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection within oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, and ISO.
• Experience in inspection of piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
• Excellent knowledge of quality control procedures and documentation.
