WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (aviation background preferred) with 10+ years of design experience to join our growing team in Dammam, KSA. The role is focused on design-led aviation/airport projects, supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical engineering solutions across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Deliver electrical design across aviation projects, including concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and design narratives aligned with project requirements.
- Design and coordinate electrical systems typically associated with airport facilities (as relevant to the project scope), ensuring technical compliance and constructability.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, ICT, and specialist packages) to ensure integration of electrical design within the overall solution.
- Support design reviews, quality checks, and verification activities in accordance with internal QA procedures.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders where required, contributing to meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
- Ensure Health & Safety is embedded into design and delivery practices in line with company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 10+ years post-qualification experience with a strong track record in electrical design delivery.
- Aviation/airport project exposure is strongly preferred (design-focused experience is ideal).
- Good working knowledge of relevant international standards and local authority requirements.
- Proficiency with commonly used design tools (e.g., Revit and other electrical design/analysis software as applicable).
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with confidence working in multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder environments.
