Senior Engineer - Operational Support

• Monitor and evaluate AGC performance and Member States' response following system disturbances
• Analyse HVDC operation, including DRPS and Frequency Control, and identify any malfunctions
• Monitor system inertia and overall system performance
• Review and validate ancillary services status
• Verify the performance of protection and control schemes (RAS, RVCS, UFLS)
• Conduct post-event analysis following system disturbances and tripping events
• Investigate the operation of protection systems and identify root causes
• Ensure accurate recording of outage events, including detailed timelines, and proper documentation
• Follow up on recommendations from operational and technical studies
• Perform gap analysis of SOPs and ensure implementation of audit recommendations
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety policies.
• Review the black start restoration plans.
• Audit the drills that have been conducted.
• Evaluate the drills and lesson learnt.
• Audit the switching sequences after completion from ICC.
• Ensure all switching steps are reviewed and approved by at least two ICEs
• Ensure all changes are formally documented (no informal or handwritten updates)
• Review outage records and ensure proper archiving
• Support and review operational audits related to ICC activities, systems, and operations
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Coordinate with Asset Management on pending or overdue operational actions (e.g., LOAs).
