Lead Engineer- Fleet Management

As a Lead Product Service Engineer for centrifugal compressors, you will be responsible for upholding the product integrity by proactively identifying customer issues, investigating technical anomalies, providing technical assessments at both component and systems levels, and communicating technical solutions to customers.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Responding to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, and procedures. Escalating issues as required, acting as the liaison between field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers to make technical issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner.
• Leading and program managing root cause analysis and investigation activities for product technical issues. Interface with Product Service, System and Design Engineering teams, providing technical leadership to personnel supporting projects assigned to resolve customer technical issues.
• Preparing technical presentations for leaders and customers ensuring timely communication of significant issues or developments.
• Traveling to customer locations to support technical review meetings, present recommendations, support unplanned or forced outages, provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposals, and provide engineering oversight to contractual and field services teams during planned outages.
• Partnering with Design Engineering teams and interfacing with external and internal suppliers to facilitate logistical implementation of fleet program technical solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electronics/control & instrumentation, electrical & electronics) or equivalent.
• 8 10 years of experience in design engineering or operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of centrifugal compressors, dry gas seals, oil seals, antisurge systems, and associated auxiliaries.
• Ready to travel at short notice (% of the time).
• Available to work during weekends for emergency technical support.

• Experience in a matrix leadership environment.
• Prior experience in design engineering or field maintenance/customer service roles.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non technical audiences.
• Ability to work well with teams and communicate requests and requirements clearly.
• Experience working in a global matrix organization and ability to make timely and sound decisions based on data.
• Effective interface with all levels of an organization and demonstrated leadership to pursue correct engineering actions in adverse conditions.
• Self starter with strong technical and analytical skills.
• Strong technical aptitude, problem solving skills, and awareness of applicable engineering tools and systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English; preference for Arabic speaking.
