The opportunity is to create and complete bids, estimations and quotations based on customer specifications or requirements/budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margin for the Company, while maintaining and improving the balance between all Hitachi units and customers within the area of responsibility.
Responsibilities- Formulate competitive bids, estimates and quotations, considering the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations.
- Ensure tenders are well documented in a timely manner with full and accurate costs.
- Manage the preparation of technical, financial and project‑management aspects of the bid, including defining suitable technology, product types, price sheets, cash‑flow analysis, and engineering hours.
- Ensure that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.
- Manage external services such as translations and governmental approvals that support bid preparation.
- Collect and archive documentation regarding the offer or order, recording assumptions and decisions taken during development.
- Report bid status regularly, analyze reasons for losses and wins, and identify potential risks across customers and channels.
- Participate in the Risk Review process in accordance with Hitachi policy.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Provide technical support to Sales Managers during meetings with customers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Model Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 4–5 years of experience in the local unit.
- Cross‑functional understanding of local unit business processes.
- Experience in the Electrical substation field covering all aspects.
- Strong connections with the local management team.
- Delivery‑focused mindset ensuring effective solutions that drive business value.
- Experience representing business interests and requirements.
- Ability to generate new ideas and challenge the status quo.
- Fluency in English and Arabic with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic.
