Job Title:
Buyer - Automation & System Integration
Location: Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Role PurposeThe Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities related to automation, digitalization, and system integration solutions, including SCADA, BMS, PLC, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies. The role ensures the timely sourcing of high quality materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, compliance, and alignment with project and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement & Sourcing- Manage end-to-end procurement of automation and system integration components such as:
- SCADA systems
- BMS (Building Management Systems)
- PLCs, RTUs, DCS
- IoT and smart devices
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and OEMs.
- Source materials based on technical specifications and project requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and technology partners.
- Conduct vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and compliance checks.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotations, and perform techno commercial evaluations.
- Generate and manage purchase orders in line with company policies.
- Track order status to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, projects, and sales teams to understand technical requirements.
- Ensure procurement aligns with project BOQ, specifications, and compliance standards.
- Support technical clarification with suppliers and OEMs.
- Drive cost saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
- Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and supply risks.
- Optimize procurement processes for efficiency and value.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and Saudi regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
- Support audits and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for shipment tracking, delivery, and customs clearance.
- Ensure proper documentation for imports, especially for specialized automation equipment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within:
- Automation
- System Integration
- Industrial / Digital Solutions
- Strong experience in sourcing automation products such as SCADA, BMS, PLC, and instrumentation.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC market preferred.
- Knowledge of:
- SCADA, BMS, PLC, DCS systems
- Industry 4.0 & IoT technologies
- Automation and control systems
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings
