The Regional Product Service Engineering team of Engineers supports the current operation and maintenance of Heavy duty gas turbines, Aero turbines, centrifugal compressor, steam turbine & their Controls system, Protection and Accessory systems. As product Service engineer controls, you will be responsible for providing timely technical solutions for heavy duty gas turbines and associated auxiliaries.
Responsibilities- Responding to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures. Escalate issues as required, acting as the liaison between field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers to make customers' technical issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner.
- Leading and program managing root cause analysis/investigation activities for product technical issues. Interface with Product Service, System and Design Engineering teams, providing technical leadership to personnel supporting projects assigned to resolve customer technical issues.
- Preparing technical presentations for BH Leaders and Customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments.
- Traveling to customer locations to:
- Support customer technical review meetings and present recommendations to champion BH's commitment technical solution
- Support unplanned/forced outages to meet reliability/availability goals
- Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal activities.
- Planning and providing technical engineering oversight to the Contractual Services and Field Services teams during planned outages to meet reliability and availability goals.
- Partnering with the Design Engineering teams and interfacing with external and internal suppliers to facilitate the logistical implementation of Fleet Program technical solutions.
- Have bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, Electronics / Control & Instrumentation/Electrical & Electronics) OR equivalent.
- Have 8-10 years' experience in design engineering or operation, maintenance & trouble shooting of heavy duty gas turbines and associated auxiliaries.
- Be ready to travel at short notice 20 to 25% of the time.
- Have availability of working during weekends for emergency technical support.
- Have experience in a matrix leadership environment
- Have prior experience in design engineering or field maintenance /customer service facing role.
- Be able to communicate effectively both to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Be able to work well with teams and communicate requests and requirements clearly.
- Have experience working in global, matrix organization & ability to make timely and sound decisions based on data.
- Be able to interface effectively with all levels of an organization and demonstrate leadership to pursue correct engineering actions in adverse conditions or situations.
- Be self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills.
- Have strong technical aptitude & problem-solving skills including awareness of applicable engineering tools and systems.
- Have strong and written communication skills.
- Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Be fluent in English & considered preference for Arabic speaking.

- This role is working with our customers on site in locations across the world. When onsite, you will have the flexibility to work in line with customer working patterns. When projects are complete, we offer you the opportunity to take extended leave before you take on your next project.
