Systems Engineer
Hardware Deployment:
Unbox, rack, stack, cabling, servers, switches, and routers.
Component Diagnostics:
Troubleshoot and replace failing hardware components, and Network & Security devices.
Electrical Monitoring and implementation:
Monitor power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and branch circuits, DG & Distribution panel maintenance.
Cooling Management:
Track and optimize computer room air conditioning (CRAC/CRAH) units and hot/cold aisle containment.
Safety System Oversight:
Inspect and maintain fire suppression systems (FM200/Inergen), Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA), water leak detection and Fire alarm system.
Operating System:
Windows/Linux sever OS installation and troubleshooting
Incident Response:
Respond immediately to environmental, power, or thermal alerts to prevent thermal runaway.
Inventory Management:
Maintain the inventory and prepare lifecycle of the asset
Should have good connectivity and knowledge on Servers, Storage and network & Security devices
Provider Coordination:
Escort and supervise external electrical and HVAC contractors during high-risk maintenance windows
OEM co-ordination:
Should co ordinate with the OEM`s based on requirement
Passive Cabling (CAT 6 & Fiber):
Should have good knowledge in Passive cabling (Installation & Maintenance and troubleshooting)
Failover testing:
Should have knowledge in Failover testing and supporting for DC/DR drills
