As a Technical Support Engineer within the Product Integrity function, you will be at the forefront of resolving critical technical issues at customer sites, playing a pivotal role in Siemens Energy’s mission towards decarbonization. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate with clients and engineers to ensure seamless operations of compressor installations.
Your work will directly impact the efficiency and sustainability of industrial processes, contributing to Siemens Energy’s vision of a sustainable future, while being part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration.
- Engage with various levels of customer and Siemens Energy organizations to effectively resolve technical issues.
- Conduct complex troubleshooting on compressors and ancillary systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Facilitate the exchange of technical information between customer sites and senior experts within the Product Integrity team.
- Collaborate with team members to report and implement necessary changes for issue resolution.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of field service activities, including service reports and maintenance logs.
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in installing and overhauling various types of industrial gas compressors (turbo, axial flow, integral gear, reciprocating)
- Proven experience in validating instrumentation and controls during startups or overhauls.
- Expertise in vibration monitoring and conducting site performance testing.
- Advanced skills in precision measurement techniques and problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and adapt to unpredictable situations, along with a willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
