We are looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in electrical testing, commissioning, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct testing of transformers, switch gear, circuit breakers, protection systems, CTs, PTs, and other electrical equipment.
- Perform insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, transformer testing, and related electrical tests.
- Carry out relay and protection system testing and verification.
- Review electrical drawings, test procedures, and technical specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and testing issues.
- Prepare detailed test reports, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with applicable international standards, safety requirements, and approved procedures.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders during testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Support site activities and provide technical recommendations when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in electrical testing and commissioning.
- Strong hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and instruments.
- Good knowledge of electrical protection systems and testing procedures.
- Experience with LV, MV, and/or HV electrical systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NFPA.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
Certifications:
- Electrical Testing & Commissioning certifications.
- Protection Relay Testing certification.
- Relevant safety certifications.
Experience Level: 4–6 Years
