We are looking for an MEP Engineer to provide mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering consulting, design support, and technical advisory services. This role covers electrical systems, plumbing and drainage, HVAC coordination, fire protection interfaces, and low-current systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential facilities owned by a major Saudi conglomerate.
This is an individual contributor role within our Engineering & Consulting department. You will produce engineering deliverables, conduct technical assessments, support consulting engagements for group entities and stakeholders, and provide hands-on MEP expertise to the operations team for maintenance and renovation projects.
Key AccountabilitiesPrepare electrical, plumbing, drainage, and HVAC engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for group projects. Conduct electrical load studies, lighting designs, power distribution assessments, plumbing system evaluations, and HVAC sizing reviews for new and existing facilities. Provide consulting on fire alarm interfaces, fire protection systems, low-current systems (CCTV, access control, data cabling), and building automation where required. Support charity projects and stakeholders' private projects with MEP engineering design and advisory.
2.DrawingProduction & Review
Prepare and review MEP engineering drawings using AutoCAD. Coordinate with offshore CAD drafters for production support. Ensure all MEP drawings comply with Saudi electrical codes, plumbing regulations, HVAC standards, and fire safety requirements. Maintain revision control and documentation of all MEP deliverables.
3.Technical Support to OperationsProvide MEP engineering support to the operations team for maintenance troubleshooting, system upgrades, and renovation projects. Advise on electrical panel upgrades, wiring modifications, plumbing rerouting, drainage solutions, and HVAC system repairs. Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals for MEP works.
4.Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with the Civil Engineer on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure integrated engineering solutions. Liaise with utility providers (SEC, water authority) and regulatory bodies as required. Prepare technical reports and engineering assessments as requested by the Head of Engineering.
5.OtherPerform any other duties reasonably required by the Head of Engineering consistent with the scope of this role.
Core- Electrical Engineering
- Competence in power distribution, lighting design, load analysis, and electrical system design for commercial and industrial facilities - Plumbing & Drainage
- Strong knowledge of plumbing system design, drainage, and water supply systems - HVAC
- Working understanding of HVAC system design, sizing, coordination, and commissioning - AutoCAD
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for MEP drawing production and review - Codes & Standards
- Working knowledge of Saudi electrical codes, plumbing regulations, HVAC standards, and fire safety requirements - Low-Current Systems
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and data cabling systems - Fire Protection
- Basic knowledge of fire suppression, sprinkler, and alarm system requirements

- Ability to diagnose MEP issues methodically and propose practical solutions - Communication
- Clear technical communication with engineers, contractors, and non-technical stakeholders - Attention to Detail
- High accuracy in calculations, specifications, and drawing production - Collaboration
- Ability to work effectively with the Civil Engineer and operations team on integrated projects
General Contracting / Facility Management / MEP Engineering
Experience- 5 to 8 years in MEP engineering design or consulting
- Experience with commercial and industrial facility MEP systems - electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection
- Familiarity with maintenance troubleshooting and system assessment in existing buildings
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is an advantage
