Bray is seeking a VAC & Applications Engineer to serve as the primary local technical resource for Valve Automation Center activities in Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for product configuration, technical selections, customer submittals, engineering documentation, and project execution support.
The role acts as the technical liaison between customers, operations, sales, manufacturing, and Bray’s Global Applications Engineering Team, supporting complex applications, non-standard requirements, and the successful establishment of VAC processes for the Saudi operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Review customer specifications, datasheets, and project requirements.
- Configure valve automation packages and perform technical product selections.
- Utilize approved engineering systems, tools, and resources to support application reviews and technical evaluations.
- Support Configure-to-Order and Engineered-to-Order product requirements where applicable.
- Prepare and review customer submittals, drawings, datasheets, bills of materials, and supporting documentation.
- Provide technical support to customers, consultants, contractors, sales teams, and operations.
- Work closely with assembly technicians to implement engineering changes and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate with Bray’s Global Applications Engineering Team on complex applications and non-standard requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help establish VAC processes for the Saudi operation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in valve automation, controls, actuators, process automation, or applications engineering.
- Experience preparing technical submittals and engineering documentation.
- Strong understanding of drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Middle East experience, particularly in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience with oil & gas, petrochemical, power, water, desalination, or industrial process industries.
- Experience with reputed valve and actuator manufacturing companies in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience supporting Configure-to-Order and Engineered-to-Order products.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Saudi Arabia and the GCC region for customer support, project coordination, training, and collaboration with Bray engineering teams.
