Chief Accountant Job Dammam area,Eastern Province Saudi Arabia,Finance & Banking

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and finance management, demonstrating the ability to lead and oversee all accounting operations. As a Chief Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, compliance with regulations, and the effective management of financial resources.

This position requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Manage the entire accounting cycle, from journal entries to final reporting, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and maintain internal controls.

Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring all financial records are complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to foster professional development and enhance team performance.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring departmental spending and ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the timely filing of tax returns and other statutory obligations.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and operational planning.

Continuously assess and improve financial processes, recommending enhancements to technology and systems to streamline accounting operations.

Preferred Candidate

Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a similar role within a reputable organization, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of finance professionals.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving financial issues.

In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements applicable in Saudi Arabia.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.

Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.

Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not required.
