We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the heavy industry and metallurgy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting background with extensive experience in financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, facilitating audits, and providing insights that drive business decisions.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with management to develop financial strategies that align with our organizational goals while maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.

Coordinate and execute the annual budget process, including variance analysis and forecasting.

Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance and market trends.

Ensure timely submission of tax returns and compliance with local tax regulations.

Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Preferred Candidate

Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the heavy industry or metallurgy sector.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.
