Senior Projects Costing Specialist Job Summary

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and controlling project cost estimates and budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost monitoring, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle in alignment with company policies and standards.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new projects, tenders, and change orders in collaboration with project and engineering teams.
• Analyze project scope, drawings, and specifications to identify cost drivers and quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting requirements.
• Develop and maintain cost models, benchmarks, and estimation databases.
• Monitor project budgets, track variances, and conduct cost analysis between estimated and actual costs.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for management.
• Review invoices, purchase orders, and commitments to ensure accurate cost allocation and control.
• Evaluate change orders, conduct profitability and cost-benefit analysis, and provide financial insights for risk assessment and decision-making.
• Support SAP enhancements related to project costing modules and improve costing processes and reporting tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control methodologies, and estimation techniques.
• 3–8 years of experience in project costing, estimation, construction accounting, or project finance.
