Position: Government Relations Officer (GRO)

Job Purpose

Government Relations (GR) is responsible for managing all official interactions between the company and government authorities. The role ensures compliance with Saudi labor laws, immigration regulations, and other governmental requirements while facilitating smooth processing of employee and company-related documents.

Key Accountabilities
  • Handle all government-related processes including visas, Iqamas, renewals, transfers, and exit/re-entry permits.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, GOSI, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with relevant ministries, government offices, and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare and submit official documents, letters, and applications to government entities as required.
  • Monitor and track expiration dates for employee documents (Iqamas, passports, licenses, etc.) and ensure timely renewal.
  • Support new employees on boarding by coordinating medical tests, fingerprinting, and other government formalities.
  • Assist in company license renewals, CR (Commercial Registration), Municipality, Civil Defense, and Chamber of Commerce certificates.
  • Provide advice and updates to management regarding changes in government regulations and procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of all government transactions and related documentation.
  • Perform other administrative and government-related tasks assigned by management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or related field (preferred).
  • experience (2–4 years) in a GRO or similar role in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi labor laws, visa processes, and government portals (Qiwa, Muqeem, Absher, GOSI, Mudad, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Valid Saudi driving license.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
  • Proactive and service-oriented attitude.
