We are seeking a highly accomplished and technically proficient SAP HANA Cloud Architect to provide strategic and hands‑on expertise for our SAP Partner Managed Cloud (PMC) offerings, focusing on RISE with SAP and SAP Cloud for Customer (Sales Cloud & Service Cloud) landscapes.

This role requires deep expertise in SAP HANA database technologies within public/private cloud environments, cloud infrastructure, and the specific architecture demands of SAP's cloud‑centric solutions. The ideal candidate will architect, design, and govern the technical database foundation, ensuring performance, high availability, security, and scalability for our managed services clients.

The HANA Cloud Architect will primarily focus on the database and underlying technical architecture layers, performing the following key activities/tasks not limited:

• Design and execute HANA Database Sizing & Capacity Planning (Initial & Ongoing) for cloud deployments.
• Define the HANA Database Deployment/Provisioning strategy in various Cloud Environments (Ex: Hyperscalers).

• Design and implement High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR) Architecture for HANA databases.
• Define and oversee the HANA Backup & Recovery Strategy.
• Establish and manage Replication setup (e.g., HANA System Replication).

• Conduct HANA Performance Tuning & Optimization at the database layer.
• Develop Data Tiering Strategy utilizing features like SAP HANA Native Storage Extension (NSE).

• Design and implement HANA Database Security Architecture & Hardening.
• Ensure Licensing Compliance for the HANA Database.
• Guarantee Compliance with Data Residency/Sovereignty requirements for HANA data.

• Design the HANA Cloud Connector/Integration Strategy (database layer only).
• Develop the HANA Multi-Cloud/Hybrid DB Architecture for the SAP landscape.
• Oversee Integration with Cloud Monitoring Tools for the HANA DB.
• Manage Partner Managed Cloud Infrastructure Setup specifically for HANA DB.

• Define the HANA MDC/Tenant Strategy for multi‑customer/multi‑system landscapes.
• Design and implement Database Resource Consumption Governance.
• Define the strategy for Automated Database Operations (AIOps).
• Define the HANA Database Patch Management Strategy (Minor Upgrades).
• Provide expert consultation on HANA Version and Roadmap.
• Offer L3/L4 Support for critical HANA Database‑related Incidents.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP HANA, SAP Database Administration, or SAP Technical Architecture roles.
