We are seeking a skilled OSS Application Support Engineer with telecom domain experience to provide L1/L2 technical support for OSS applications. The role involves troubleshooting software issues, managing application releases, monitoring systems, and collaborating closely with Production, R&D, and Delivery teams to ensure system stability and SLA compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills across SQL, Linux, APIs, and scripting, along with hands‑on OSS operations experience in a telecom operator or vendor environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide L1/L2 technical support to telecom operators and network providers, analyzing and resolving software/application-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot incidents using logs, SQL queries, Linux commands, APIs, and scripting tools.
  • Investigate and resolve bugs identified in test and production environments; perform validation and retesting of bug fixes.
  • Manage and monitor support tickets, ensuring adherence to SLA timelines and response commitments.
  • Respond proactively to alerts and events detected by monitoring systems.
  • Perform application installation, upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments.
  • Support application and database management activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, and Delivery teams for issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including troubleshooting procedures and resolution guides.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecom Engineering
    .
  • Telecom industry experience (operator or vendor side).
  • Hands‑on experience in OSS operations, L2/Application Support environments
    .
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills:
  • SQL querying and database analysis
  • APIs
  • Basic scripting (Shell/Python or similar)
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and SLA‑driven environments.
  • Very good English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a high‑availability telecom environment.
