The IT Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and support services. The role ensures the availability, security, and efficiency of technology resources while aligning IT operations with the company’s business objectives. The IT Manager leads the IT team, manages vendors, oversees cybersecurity initiatives, and drives digital transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities IT Strategy and ManagementDevelop and implement the company’s IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
Manage day-to-day IT operations and ensure high availability of IT services.
Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Prepare and manage the IT department budget and resource allocation.
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve business efficiency.
Infrastructure and Network ManagementOversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of:
- Servers and data centers
- LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
- Cloud infrastructure and virtualization platforms
- Storage and backup systems
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
CybersecurityDevelop and maintain information security policies and standards.
Manage cybersecurity measures, including:
- Firewalls
- Endpoint protection
- Identity and access management
- Security monitoring and incident response
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
Systems AdministrationManage enterprise applications and business systems.
Oversee Microsoft 365, ERP, CRM, HRMS, and collaboration platforms.
Ensure software licensing compliance and system upgrades.
Service Delivery and SupportManage IT service desk operations and technical support.
Define and monitor IT Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ensure timely resolution of user issues and incidents.
Project ManagementLead IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
Ensure successful implementation of new technologies.
Vendor and Asset ManagementManage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance.
Oversee IT procurement and asset lifecycle management.
Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Compliance and GovernanceEnsure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Maintain IT documentation and audit readiness
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- 8–12 years of IT experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in ICT, managed services, telecommunications, or technology companies is preferred.
