Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
We are supporting a leading global cybersecurity technology provider with the appointment of a Principal Resident Engineer in Dammam.
This is a senior, customer-facing position focused on the deployment, optimisation and ongoing support of an advanced cybersecurity platform across complex industrial environments. The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical partner to the customer, working directly with operational and cybersecurity teams across sites.
The RoleAs the Principal Resident Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical relationship with the customer and ensure the platform continues to deliver against agreed operational and security objectives.
You will be responsible for implementation, configuration, system health, troubleshooting, platform improvements and stakeholder enablement throughout the customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver cybersecurity platform deployments within customer environments.
- Work with customer teams to understand operational requirements, use cases and expected outcomes.
- Review network architecture and advise on sensor positioning, connectivity and integration requirements.
- Configure, tune and optimise the platform to support agreed customer objectives.
- Build workflows, dashboards and technical content aligned with customer use cases.
- Monitor platform availability, performance and overall system health.
- Manage software upgrades, patches and configuration changes.
- Provide hands on troubleshooting, break fix support and escalation management.
- Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and technical training to customer stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, processes and operating procedures.
- Introduce customers to new product capabilities, releases and platform enhancements.
- Gather customer feedback and communicate improvement requests to relevant internal teams.
- Collaborate with sales, solution architecture, threat intelligence and security services functions.
- Identify additional areas where further technology or services could deliver value to the customer.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, the OSI model, the Purdue model and common industrial protocols.
- Experience working with Linux command-line environments.
- Exposure to Docker, scripting languages such as Python or Shell and SIEM platforms.
- Experience deploying or supporting enterprise software in on-premise or cloud environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and technical work streams.
- Excellent communication, customer engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex industrial environments.
- Previous cybersecurity experience would be highly advantageous.
