Techmantra Global is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished IoT / Edge Engineer with professional industrial IoT, edge computing, and digital transformation experience to join our client engagement team on a full-time, permanent onsite basis in Dammam, Saudi Arabia (Oil & Gas / Industrial Digital Transformation project; candidates currently in KSA with a valid/transferable Iqama are preferred). In this specialized industrial automation and edge engineering role, you will spearhead designing, deploying, and maintaining industrial IoT architectures, edge gateways, PLC/SCADA/RTU integrations, and secure cloud-edge pipelines.

You will work closely with plant automation engineers, operational technology (OT) cybersecurity specialists, and enterprise cloud architects to ensure high availability, deterministic data transmission, and zero-trust security across industrial environments. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in engineering, deep practical mastery of MQTT, OPC‑UA, Modbus, Kubernetes/Open Shift, and immediate availability for onsite deployment in Dammam.

As an IoT / Edge Engineer at Techmantra Global in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, you will take full ownership of industrial IoT data ingestion, edge computing node configuration, OT‑IT convergence, and containerized workload orchestration for major oil & gas digital transformation initiatives. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities encompass interfacing with industrial PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, and smart sensors, configuring MQTT, OPC‑UA, and Modbus communication protocols, deploying edge gateways and nodes, and managing containerized deployments utilizing Kubernetes and Open Shift.

You will implement cloud‑edge integration pipelines, enforce OT cybersecurity and zero‑trust frameworks, conduct rigorous network troubleshooting, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Working in a fast‑paced industrial automation and energy technology environment, you will drive operational intelligence and smart manufacturing resilience.

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Industrial IoT (IIoT) and edge computing architectures for oil & gas digital transformation projects.
• Integrate and communicate with industrial control systems including PLCs, SCADA master stations, RTUs, and industrial sensors.
• Configure, optimize, and secure industrial communication protocols including MQTT, OPC‑UA, Modbus TCP/RTU, and DNP

• Deploy, manage, and scale physical and virtual edge gateways, edge compute nodes, and localized caching infrastructure.
• Administer containerized edge workloads and microservices orchestration utilizing Kubernetes and Red Hat Open Shift clusters.
• Build and maintain seamless cloud‑edge data integration pipelines for real‑time telemetry streaming and historical data logging.
• Implement robust OT cybersecurity controls, network segmentation, and zero‑trust security policies across industrial networks.
• Collaborate proactively with plant automation engineers, OT security specialists, and enterprise cloud squads.
• Perform rigorous troubleshooting, diagnostic logging, and performance tuning on edge compute hardware and network links.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, edge architecture schematics, device inventories, and deployment runbooks.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional engineering experience specializing in Industrial IoT, edge computing, or OT systems integration.
