Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the purchasing team and ensure efficient execution of daily procurement activities in line with business requirements.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to secure materials, spare parts, and services at the best possible cost, quality, and delivery terms.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers while maintaining a reliable and competitive supplier base that meets manufacturing requirements.
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and optimized delivery conditions.
- Manage the full purchase order cycle, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, delivery follow-up, and resolution of procurement issues.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance to ensure uninterrupted material availability and avoid production delays.
- Monitor inventory and procurement requirements, anticipating material shortages and implementing proactive purchasing plans to support production continuity.
- Establish and monitor supplier performance, including cost, quality, lead time, delivery reliability, and compliance with agreed terms.
- Drive cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives, including supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and improved procurement practices.
- Prepare and analyze procurement reports and KPIs, providing management with actionable insights on purchasing performance, costs, supplier performance, and procurement risks.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role within manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures, procurement practices, and inventory management.
