Shop Technician

Primary Role Focus

Located in the Packers Plus workshop and warehouse in Dammam, KSA, the Shop Technician I will assist in the manufacturing, assembly and servicing of downhole tools according to established procedures, and support the overall process within the workshop facility. This role reports to the manufacturing or service supervisor or his designate.

• Assemble, rebuild, and service downhole tools and equipment.
• Operate various tools and equipment in the assembly area.
• Follow safety procedures and outlined specifications.
• Inspect forklifts and overhead cranes daily.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
• Assist with facility or operations tasks as required.
• Be available for overtime and on-call duties.
• Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety program.

• Previous workshop or mechanical experience preferred.
• Oilfield shop or warehouse experience an asset.
• Must be able to operate lift truck and reach style forklift.
• Must be able to communicate with writing and speaking English.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Certification to operate warehouse machinery.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Some heavy lifting and physical movement required.
• Reach and Counterbalance Lift Safety Certification.
• Holds a First Aid Training Certification.
• Subject to post-incident and reasonable suspicion drug & alcohol testing.
