Diploma/graduate in any discipline with 5-10 years of experience as refractory supervisor in steel plant.

Refractory supervisor is responsible for the supervision of refractory repair in 150 tons DC-EAF, steel ladles and tundishes as per the plan. Each job must be done with safety, accuracy, timeliness, and follow to comply with all company safety rules, procedure and regulations.

Major Responsibilities & Duties to be performed:

• Refractory health monitoring in DC- EAF ,Ladle and tundish etc.
• Execution & supervision all refractory maintenance jobs in DC-EAF(cold repair, bottom change etc ), Ladle( Relining and mid repair) & Tundish(spraying & other preparation related job) area according to the plan. Job is in hot environment and dusty atmosphere.
• Monitoring of ladle preparation related jobs and tapping ladle planning.
• Preparation of refractory daily report, shift report, EAF & ladle erosion profile and incident report etc.
• Reservation and PR making in SAP(MM module).
• Various trial and development monitoring and reporting.
• Execution & supervision of other refractory related jobs in all areas like EAF, LF, CCM and associated units in Steel Melt Shop.
• Get feedback from Shift reliever and able to manage the shift independently.
• All jobs must be completed with following proper safety operational practices.
• Active participation in QC, 5S, FMEA, Green belt and other quality related projects.
• To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies. Attend safety training.
• To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
• To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
• To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
• To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
• To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concern responsible.
