Quality Engineering, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Manufacturing Engineer
- Strip, inspect and assemble dry gas seals.
- Complete grooving activities for repair.
- Dismantle and clean seals and parts under repair.
- Assemble and repair mechanical seals and seal cartridges in accordance with John Crane drawings and specifications.
- Define and write strip and inspection reports.
- Set up and test different types/sizes of dry gas seals.
- Perform manual machining of components where required.
- Perform lapping, polishing and cleaning as necessary, following standard processes.
- Ensure quality and safety within own tasks and for staff reporting to you.
- Exercise due diligence towards health and safety of self and others within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE instructions, requirements, laws and regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.
- Execute DGS assembly, testing, lapping and polishing processes.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure execution of repair processes.
- Perform quality control of the DGS process.
- Diploma or university degree in Engineering or a relevant vocational technical qualification.
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- ERP knowledge in SAP.
- Knowledge of lapping and polishing.
- Good technical knowledge of the John Crane product portfolio.
