– Role Overview
We are looking for a Production engineer who will be leading the production activities while coordinating closely with safety, engineering, quality, maintenance and production team leaders. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost through effective process design, Lean manufacturing principles, SAP master data integrity, and structured problem‑solving methodologies. The position actively supports equipment safety, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance, ensures safe work practices are embedded into manufacturing processes, and coordinates equipment safety and guarding requirements with the HSE department in alignment with MESH (Eaton Environmental, Health and Safety) and applicable regulatory standards.
Basically,Production Engineer will be in charge of
- Assembling GEIS components & modules into complete bays through a lean and flow production line with outstanding performance targeting best quality, maximum cost savings and shortest delivery time.
- Using the production planning procedures to achieve the most efficient processes and optimal use of resources.
- Fostering a well‑trained and motivated staff and establishing a professional team‑working environment using production planning techniques.
- Direct and coordinate plant operations to meet production schedule.
- Establish a team to ensure timely delivery of material to shop floor.
- Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
- Responsible for the product quality control in the plan.
- Regularly update the factory production forecast and milestone dates (report key figures and forecasts on a monthly basis).
- Take the lead in production planning within all business departments (sales, project management, engineering, production, supply chain management and field operation).
- Inquiry logistics of GEIS components and modules from feeder factories (including tracking system of goods).
- Prepare complete order handling (long and short term planning) including FAT (factory acceptance test).
- Support continuous improvement by recognizing any area for improvement and implementing an improvement plan accordingly.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following EATON‑MESH guidelines.
- Employee shall also carry out any task that is assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements.
Employees will work in a 3‑shift schedule to ensure continuous production.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a similar degree.
- 8+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or fabrication environment.
- Experience in the electrical/electromechanical industry within a multinational environment.
- Experience supervising production activities.
- In‑depth understanding of lean concepts and minimizing all related 7 wastes (transport, inventory, motion, waiting, overproduction, overprocessing and defects).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities.
- Good experience with electrical assembly lines.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with ERP systems is a must (SAP R/3 or SAP BW preferred).
- Hands‑on application of manufacturing methodologies and tools – Kan‑Ban, 2‑Bin System, Poka‑Yoke, One‑Piece Flow, TOC (Theory of Constraints).
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and other relevant methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group across a global business.
- Solid knowledge of planning tools and processes.
- Good coaching skills.
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
- Saudi citizenship is required.
