Senior Operator, Crane

Responsibilities

• Having good knowledge of overhead crane operation in melt bay.
• Having knowledge to handle liquid metal shifting from LRF to CCM turret.
• Knowledge about ladle shifting to preheaters.
• Knowledge of scrap charging at EAF.
• Can be understood easily with crane signals.
• Having good communication skill with the peoples.
• Good knowledge of Emergency/Safety procedures.
• Inform seniors if any abnormality during shift.
• Getting feedback from reliever at the start of his shift.
• Giving feedback to his coming reliever at the end of his shift.
• Proper housekeeping of crane cabin & periphery areas.
• Inspecting crane condition / controls at start of every shift and filling up check list. Strictly following the safe working practices and safety rules of the organization as per HS&E Policy.
• Strictly Follow the Safety Instruction related to the Jobs
• Keep issued PPE in good and workable condition.
• Do not allow any unsafe PPE usage by staff report PPE damages to concerned authority
• Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment’s and welfare facilities.
