The Back End LSM Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd's Back End Line Seaming Machines (LSM). This role ensures efficient production and minimal downtime through proactive and reactive mechanical interventions.
Job SummaryThe Back End LSM Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd's Back End Line Seaming Machines (LSM). This role ensures efficient production and minimal downtime through proactive and reactive mechanical interventions.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all Back End LSM machinery according to established schedules and procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on LSM equipment quickly and accurately.
- Execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of worn or faulty components, including gears, bearings, seals, motors, and conveyor systems.
- Conduct precise adjustments and calibrations of machinery to optimize performance and product quality.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address machine-related issues affecting product specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing machine reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to junior mechanics or operators as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in mechanical maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, specifically with experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience with can-making machinery, particularly Back End Line Seaming Machines (LSM), is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by production schedules.
