The Manufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading the site's manufacturing engineering, maintenance, operational excellence, and digital manufacturing functions. This role drives the development, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing processes, supports new product introductions and strategic transfer projects, and leads Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. The position also oversees maintenance and asset management strategies to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and plant performance.
Working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS teams, the role delivers sustainable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence..
Manufacturing Engineering
- Own the site's manufacturing engineering strategy and standards.
- Lead process design, validation, qualification, and optimization.
- Improve process capability using statistical and quality tools.
- Drive FMEA implementation and risk reduction activities.
- Maintain routings, BOMs, work instructions, and labor standards.
- Develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment strategies.
- Lead process and equipment standardization initiatives.
- Support capacity planning, line balancing, and layout optimization.
- Lead root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities.
- Lead manufacturing readiness for NPI, NPD, and STP projects.
- Ensure production processes, tooling, and controls are established before launch.
- Coordinate process validation and production readiness reviews.
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
- Deploy Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma programs.
- Lead Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and improvement projects.
- Drive improvements in OEE, productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Coach teams on operational excellence methodologies.
- Sustain and monitor continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Industry 4.0, automation, and OT initiatives.
- Implement automation solutions to improve manufacturing performance.
- Support machine connectivity, production analytics, and digitalization.
- Promote MES, SCADA, PLC, and Industrial IoT applications.
- Ensure OT systems comply with cybersecurity requirements.
- Lead manufacturing capital investment projects.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses.
- Support equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
- Improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and asset performance.
- Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS teams.
- Lead technical decision-making and manufacturing excellence initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Lead the maintenance function and asset management strategy.
- Drive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Promote TPM to improve uptime and reduce downtime.
- Support equipment commissioning and asset performance improvements.
- Bachelor in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- MS / MBA is a plus
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or fabrication environments, with demonstrated exposure to Continuous Improvement (Lean / Six Sigma)
- Proven experience in leading improvement initiatives and driving measurable operational results
- Experience working in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments is preferred
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is an advantage
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) is required
