Responsibilities- Management of the working of the SF6 products module testing department.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards while keeping health and safety aspects in mind.
- Liaising with various departments to effectively carry out the testing function.
- Imparting training to new recruits and upgrading the skills of existing personnel.
- Monitoring the activities of the testing personnel to ensure adherence to Quality Control Instructions.
- Raising requisitions and communicating the requirement of new testing instruments.
- Managing the calibration of instruments/equipment for SF6 products from third parties as well as in-house.
- Managing verification of jigs & fixtures for SF6 products.
- Maintaining records of tests & inspections.
- Undertaking continuous improvement projects related to products/processes.
- Motivating sub‑ordinates to perform better.
- Proactively identifying potential risks and implementing preventive actions.
- Leading the quality module team.
- Developing and implementing quality procedures.
- Conducting audits.
- Identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Collaborating with other departments.
- Training team members.
- Analysing data to improve quality.
- Timely completion of testing as per the production plan.
- Weekly circulation of leak data, high‑voltage data & partial discharge data.
- Improving HV & PD defects.
- Timely circulation of FIR reports.
- Timely calibration of test instruments/equipment.
- Timely validation of jigs & fixtures.
- Technical expertise:
Knowledge of quality control methods, tools, and standards. - Leadership:
Ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members. - Problem‑solving:
Identifying and resolving quality issues efficiently. - Communication:

Role will execute the Testing for SF6 Products and be critical in the development of global Quality for Lucy. In addition to managing day‑to‑day QA activities, the role will develop opportunities to improve quality across the business, working closely with the Supplier QA team.
Behavioral Competencies- Auditing of processes and reporting on a weekly basis.
- Routine tests to be conducted as per correct QCI’s.
- To achieve the SMART target set for the quality team.
