Welding QC Inspector

To ensure all welding and related activities are performed in line with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements, guaranteeing structural integrity and compliance with quality standards.

• Conduct inspection of welding activities in accordance with approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).

• Verify welder qualifications, consumables, and equipment calibration.

• Monitor pre-welding, welding, and post-welding processes including fit-up, alignment, and dimensional checks.

• Review and interpret radiographic, ultrasonic, and other NDT results.

• Ensure adherence to international codes/standards (ASME, AWS, API, ISO).

• Raise and follow-up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and verify corrective actions.

• Maintain welding inspection reports, weld maps, and traceability records.

• Liaise with client/consultant representatives for inspections and approvals.

• Support QA/QC management in preparing documentation for final project dossiers.

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Welding QC inspection (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fabrication projects preferred).

• Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW) and materials.

• Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI / CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent) is mandatory.

• Familiarity with NDT methods and quality control procedures.

• Aramco Approval & CBT in Welding

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting welding symbols and drawings.

• Attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
