Job Summary

The QC Welding Inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting welding activities to ensure compliance with approved welding procedures, project specifications, international codes, and quality standards. The role involves conducting inspections during fabrication, erection, and installation activities, verifying welding quality, and ensuring all welding works meet client and project requirements. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within industrial and construction project environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection and surveillance of welding activities during fabrication, erection, and installation phases

  • Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material traceability in accordance with approved standards

  • Conduct visual inspections of welding joints, fit-ups, alignments, and weld preparations prior to welding activities

  • Monitor welding parameters and ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and project specifications

  • Coordinate with NDT teams and review non-destructive testing reports to verify weld quality

  • Identify welding defects, non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions as required

  • Review engineering drawings, welding maps, technical specifications, and inspection test plans (ITP)

  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and welding documentation accurately

  • Ensure compliance with international standards, project procedures, and client quality requirements

  • Participate in quality audits, site inspections, and project meetings as required

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to welding quality and inspection processes

  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations and workplace safety standards during all inspection activities

Mandatory Requirements

  • CSWIP Certification mandatory

  • Diploma Holder with minimum 7.5 years of experience as QC Inspector OR Bachelor’s Degree Holder with minimum 5 years of experience as QC Inspector

  • Strong knowledge of welding inspection procedures, QA/QC standards, and industrial codes

  • Passport validity minimum 6 month remaining.

  • Non-Aramco experience acceptable

  • International certification mandatory
