Optical Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products (frames, lenses, CL, sunglasses).
• Drive conversion, upselling, cross‑selling and promotions execution.
• Achieve individual sales targets and support store performance.
• Deliver a professional and engaging customer journey.
• Handle customer inquiries and basic complaints effectively.
• Build customer relationships and loyalty.
• Read and understand prescriptions accurately.
• Support basic fitting, adjustments, and product selection.
• Assist opticians with technical requirements when needed.
• Check prescription, fitting, and product specifications.
• Ensure no defects and full match with customer order.
• Support zero‑error delivery and resolve issues before handover.
• Process transactions accurately through POS system.
• Support insurance approvals and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain stock accuracy and proper product handling.
• Report shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
• Maintain product knowledge across categories.
• Work with the team to achieve store targets.
• Support opticians and the sales team during peak times.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
• Maintain professional and ethical behavior.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of optical and technical processes
• Good knowledge of POS and insurance systems
• Attention to detail and quality‑focused mindset
• Team player with ability to work under pressure

• 0–2 years' experience in a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical institute of optics (or equivalent)

• Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic

• SCFHS license / certification
