Senior Cargo Operations Agent

Overview

Senior Cargo Operations Agent for Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will provide Cargo Operations and Customer Service Functions including interaction with Customers and Ground Handling Agents for both import and export cargo. Ensure operational and customer service support to enable the station to meet cargo targets. Ensure full compliance at all times with safety and security regulations and procedures as per Host State and Company requirements.

• Support the immediate supervisor in developing an operational plan and provide quality customer service to surpass revenue targets.
• Liaise with Local Ground Handling Agents and with Head Office Cargo Department to ensure/enhance a high-quality service for both import and export.
• Oversee Ground Handling Agent routines to ensure smooth running of operational activities.
• Support import customers for clearance of their cargo.
• Liaise with HQ DOH and/or origin stations for necessary support.
• Plan flights with maximum utilization of flight capacity, control and operation for export and import. Maintain close coordination between QR Space Control and customers to ensure timely transfers and deliveries, correct priority, and maximum use of aircraft space.
• Coordinate with customers and cargo claims representatives at Head Office, manage discrepancies at stations, and handle administrative issues related to stations.
• Disseminate cargo-related information updating customers on customs, governmental, and health authority rules and ensure compliance with regulations to avoid penalties or destruction.
• Ensure notifications are sent officially on cargo arrival information to freight forwarders, agents, or direct customers to optimize warehouse space and prevent cargo staying in airline custody.

• Relevant vocational, tertiary, or trade qualification with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of cargo operations/acceptance/office (admin)/warehouse/ramp/cargo procedures for export and import.
• Knowledge in cargo sales is an added advantage.
• Command of the English language.
