The role involves conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the Airline Operational Manual and relevant civil aviation regulations, with a focus on safety, security, and efficiency. The First Officer will support the flight and cabin crew, manage emergencies, and ensure a positive corporate image throughout all operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate assigned aircraft on scheduled flights, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
- Ensure compliance with the Airline’s Operations Manual and regulations, maintaining safe and smooth flight operations.
- Attend timely and maintain proper grooming and fitness; conduct pre‑flight briefings to ensure crew is informed of flight details.
- Collaborate with co‑pilots and the Dispatch Team to prepare for flights, discussing aircraft status, weather, fuel, and roles.
- Optimize fuel efficiency while adhering to safety constraints during flight.
- Oversee safety, security, fuel, and transit checks by the crew before, during, and after flights, directing actions in case of irregularities.
- Work with Maintenance Engineers to confirm aircraft readiness and address any technical issues.
- Ensure all necessary documents and technical logs are accurately completed and compliant with regulations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal requirements from regulatory bodies and the Airline’s Operations Manual.
- Undertake additional ground‑based tasks as assigned by management.
- Must hold an appropriate ATPL License.
- Successful completion of technical/psychometric assessments and medical fitness checks as per Airline and civil aviation authority standards.
- Training in safety and emergency response is essential; formal qualifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of airport security procedures and regulations is a plus.
- Crew Resource Management training and familiarity with IATA security principles are advantageous.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Minimum of 4000 hours of flying experience, preferably on Airbus 320.
- Experience with low‑cost airlines is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of aircraft systems and operating procedures.
- Familiarity with safety, security, and quality assurance practices related to flight operations.
- Ability to implement policies and procedures in accordance with approved standards.
- Capable of managing workloads in a dynamic environment and handling emergencies efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose cost‑effective solutions.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to support company objectives and contribute to business strategy.
