The job objective is for the efficient scheduling of deliveries, proper routing of trucks and monitoring and reporting of the fleet management system. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience in the fleet management of Heavy duty Trucks carrying hazardous materials within KSA and cross border transportation.

Key Responsibilities /Duties :

  • Maintaining vehicles for deliveries.
  • Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
  • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
  • Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
  • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with country laws and regulations.
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles.
  • Take on the responsibility for efficient and scheduling of deliveries proper routing of trucks, and take telephone orders and other information related to delivery of products
  • Updates and monitor driver’s location
  • Sending daily and weekly reports
  • Guiding drivers for offloading to port and assist for the documents needed
  • Registration process for trucks/trailers and follow up it with government authorities.
  • Schedule repairs and maintenance of trucks and other company equipment
  • Assist in taking scheduled inventories, set-up and maintain all driver files
  • Follow company policies and procedures and recommendations on lease extensions
  • Maintain technical and computer skills and capability to effectively use distribution and office software
  • Other duties as assigned by the transport manager
  • QHSE Management & Support
  • Ensure achievement of QRTS Objectives
  • Ensure that the EPR programs are undertaken to prepare drivers to face RTS issues prior to dispatch
  • Take part as applicable in Mock Drills and trainings related to RTS
  • Participating in Root Cause and implementing corrective action as required
  • Receive Purchase Requisition s (PR), check for correctness and transfer into a Purchase Order(PO)
  • Carry out cancellation and amendments to PO’s
  • Organize and maintain computerized records for the FMS
  • Carry out system administration tasks as required for Oracle and the FMS
Experience
  • Bachelors in Logistics or Safety.
  • At least 4 years experience in fleet management of Heavy duty Trucks carrying hazardous materials within KSA and cross border.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in the transportation industry.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
