BASIC FUNCTION:

To efficiently manage and execute customs clearance activities for import, export, transit, and re-export shipments in accordance with the applicable customs laws, regulations, and procedures of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Customs Clearance Broker is responsible for coordinating with ZATCA, SFDA, customs ports, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and relevant government authorities, and ensuring the timely release of shipments.

The position is also responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout the customs clearance process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handle and coordinate customs clearance procedures for import, export, transit, and re-export shipments.
  • Follow up on customs declarations from registration through final release.
  • Follow up on customs notifications, requests, observations, inspections, examinations, and approvals.
  • Coordinate with customs authorities to resolve clearance issues and expedite shipment release.
  • Ensure all customs requirements are completed before arranging shipment delivery.
  • Coordinate customs inspection and physical examination requirements.
  • Arrange and follow up on the availability of shipments for customs inspection.
  • Attend or coordinate inspection procedures when required.
  • Follow up on inspection results and resolve any observations or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities regarding additional inspections or approvals.
  • Ensure all clearance requirements have been completed prior to requesting final release.
  • Obtain and confirm shipment release before coordinating delivery.
  • Coordinate with the transportation team to arrange the movement and delivery of released shipments.
  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi customs laws, regulations, procedures, and company policies.
  • Stay informed about changes and updates to customs requirements and procedures.
  • Operate strictly within the scope of the customer’s customs authorization and company-approved procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
QUALIFICATION:

Knowledge of Fasah and other Saudi customs-related electronic platforms is preferred.
